Summer program starts next week. We have some wishlist items to make our summer program the best it can be. If you want to contribute in a tangible way, pick some items from the list and you can ship them directly to us through this list. Kids are signing up every day and we expect to have a full house.

We were blessed today with a crew from Valley High School who grew hydroponic seedlings as part of their science program at school and brought them to the Hope Garden to plant them. Our kids will water and w**d the garden all summer and take home fresh vegetables as they grow. Thank you Mayor Guzzo for making this happen and gardening with us today! Thank you Valley teachers and students for being excellent and including us in your project.

Summer is a time when many children may not have access to the free and reduced-price meals they get during the school year, and households might need a little extra help putting meals on the table.

SUN Bucks, Pennsylvania’s Summer EBT program, is a new benefits program that provides households with a one-time payment of $120 for each eligible child to buy food while school is out. Benefits can be used at local participating retailers to purchase groceries.

Many children will get these benefits automatically, but some households will need to apply. The benefits will be added to an existing SNAP/TANF EBT card or a newly issued Summer EBT card.

Note: Benefits for Summer of 2026 will be issued to eligible children between late May and the end of September.

We had a fantastic final Elevate Lunch and Learn today using kits packed by United Way volunteers. Elevate is partially funded by the United Way and we are so thankful for the opportunity to bring meaningful STEM and social emotional learning mentorship to our kids.

Look for our market bags Saturday mornings at the farmer’s market starting tomorrow.

How cute are these???!!!!!!!!! Sonward Youth Programs have been working exceptionally hard making Farmers Market bags from donated t-shirts for the past several months. We will be selling these bags at the NKDP tent all season long, and 100% of the proceeds return back to Sonward Youth.
