The Iberia Preservation Alliance is a coalition of the Bayou Teche Museum, Iberia Cultural Resources Association, and the Shadows-on-the-Teche. This entity was formed in an effort to coordinate and support the three organizations’ mutual interest in preservation and history. The Alliance’s main project is "New Iberia Beneath The Balconies". ur historic architecture and an increased appreciation for the arts. Residents and visitors from around the state delight in live theatrical vignettes presented from the balconies along our award-winning Main Street. The Alliance is currently planning its first annual Literary Festival, "Dave Robicheaux’s Hometown Literary Festival, celebrating Storytellers from Iberia and Beyond". Slated for April, 2016, this three day event will feature a variety of activities at multiple venues including lectures by noted local authors, vignettes that will bring literature to life, food and music, a Dave Robicheaux 5K run, and more.
