Envision da Berry

Envision da Berry "Da Berry" is both a nickname for New Iberia and a community of talented, creative people who love Iberia Parish.

We are a 501(c)3 Not-for-profit organization with a mission to spark partnerships that advance a brighter vision for Iberia Parish. We provide an alternative path to Iberia Parish’s existing trajectory by opening up new streams of opportunity and new creative markets. We have developed a model for generating a shared vision by opening up public spaces to leaders and the individuals within the comm

unity through art and information. We seek to lay out the welcome mat for the "lost generations" of Iberia Parish to return home and participate in the evolving creative economy. We seek to build creative opportunities, establish cultural resources, and breathe fresh life back into this place in time for the next generation. Office: (new address for 2013)

HAPPY DESSALINES DAY • 🇭🇹

This Saturday, September 20, 2025, Haiti commemorates the 267th anniversary of the birth of Emperor Jean-Jacques Dessalines, the country’s founding father and a central figure in the struggle for independence.

Born on September 20, 1758, Dessalines rose from enslavement to lead the Haitian Revolution, ultimately defeating French colonial forces and declaring Haiti a free republic in 1804.

As Emperor Jacques I, he laid the foundation for Haiti’s sovereignty, shaping its identity as the first Black republic and the second independent nation in the Americas. Across Haiti and the diaspora, this anniversary is a moment to reflect on his courage, leadership, and vision for freedom and equality.

VIV AYITI!
