đź’™ This Father's Day, Honor the Strength of Dads Who Never Give Up đź’™

For fathers raising children with rare gastrointestinal conditions, every day brings new challenges. They are advocates, caregivers, protectors, and champions—hospital visits, sleepless nights, difficult decisions, and every milestone along the way.

This Father's Day, Avery's Hope invites you to celebrate these incredible dads by making a gift in their honor.

Your donation helps families affected by rare GI conditions access financial and emotional support, resources, healing programs, and a community that understands their journey.

Whether you're honoring your own father, remembering a dad who made a difference, or supporting fathers currently navigating rare disease challenges, your gift will create hope for families who need it most.

đź’™ Donate today and help us celebrate the fathers who stand strong for their children every single day.

Together, we can ensure that no family faces a rare GI diagnosis alone.

Behind every child with a rare pediatric gastrointestinal disease is a mom fighting battles most people never see. Sleepless nights. Endless appointments. Insurance appeals. Fear of the unknown. But, some moms face even more difficult situations.

Ellie's mom has been in the hospital with her child since Ellie was 4 months old. Ellie is now 2 and they are planning to be finally discharged. During that time, mom lost her job and subsequently their home. This single mom went into transitional housing to make sure Ellie has a safe environment for her home care.

This Mother’s Day season, we honor the strength, sacrifice, and unwavering love of rare disease moms everywhere. 💜

Your support helps families facing the unimaginable feel less alone.

Please consider supporting moms of children with rare GI diseases.

You can donate here on FB or at averys-hope.org.

Between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, Avery’s Hope is launching a special drive to honor the parents and care partners who carry so much for their children every single day.

On Mother’s Day, we honor moms like Sarah. Sarah’s son, Isaiah, lives with a rare pediatric gastrointestinal (GI) condition, requiring specialized care, costly nutrition and frequent hospital visits. Isaih’s family lives in Virginia, but due to the nature of his care requires treatment from a GI specialist in Philadelphia. This travel and coordination has put strain on the families' resources and required time off from work which has affected their income.

Sarah’s not just a mom; she is an advocate, caregiver, and constant source of strength in a system that makes rare journeys difficult.

Avery’s Hope has helped to ease the burden for now, but Isaih still faces a long road ahead, and so too does the entire family.

This Mother’s Day, stand with moms like Sarah. No parent should have to fight this hard alone.

Reminder: World IBD Day | Healing Arts Collaboration đź’ś

Join us Tuesday, May 12th at 6:30-7:15PM EST for a special collaborative World IBD Day event put on by Connecting Pieces, Girls With Guts, and Avery's Hope!

Come create with us! Join our World IBD Day Healing Arts gathering, a cozy, come-as-you-are virtual session where we slow down, make something beautiful, and remind ourselves just how much good there is to hold onto. All ages welcome, no art experience needed. Come ready to overflow.

Participants will each draw a simple jar and fill it with tiny drawings, words, symbols, and patterns guided by a few gentle prompts…things that feel good right now, someone they love, something they’re celebrating, and something that feels uniquely theirs. The purpose is to create a tangible, visual representation of the abundance of positivity we each carry, and to recognize that collectively, our jars overflow. It closes with an optional sharing moment that transforms individual creations into a felt sense of community.

For this activity, we recommend:
- Some coloring sheets or paper
- Any writing or coloring medium you would like to use (paint, crayons, markers)

Whether you are living with IBD, supporting someone who is, or simply looking for a moment of creative reflection, we invite you to join us.

And as a bonus - this session is open to GWGs, caregivers + kids as well!
