ArtTalk with Pat Proniewski

Pat Proniewski has been fascinated by light and the drama it creates since childhood. She is currently pursuing realist renderings of pastoral landscapes, florals and other genres. Painting primarily in oil in a realist style, Pat finds nature her greatest source of inspiration.

Her paintings have been exhibited, many receiving awards, in local, regional and national juried shows, and in galleries throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, including the Ellarslie Open at the Trenton City Museum and The Annual Juried Art Show at Phillips’ Mill.

ArtTalk with Bruce Katsiff - April 29 at 7pm on Zoom

Bruce Katsiff has been a photographer for more than sixty years. His interest in the medium intensified in high school, and ever since then he has been crafting his ability to "photograph subject matter that is challenging and uncomfortable, rejecting the ever-present temptation to make ‘pretty pictures,’ Katsiff notes. ”My hope is that my photographs will offer the viewer images that are unique and impactful, even if they may at times be disturbing,"

When describing his relationship with his art, Katsiff has said that it "has served as my personal ‘psychiatrist,’’“ a private tool to help me understand and interact with the world. My pictures are always personal. They explore changing issues that, at their best, mix together ideas from my conscious and unconscious mind."

Everyone can improvise. And everyone should!

Interested in the art form of improvisation? Come socialize and meet new people who are ready to train our brains to think more spontaneously, playfully and joyfully!

This workshop is perfect for beginners AND those who have dabbled already. We will play games and make up scenes on the spot, and connect the applications of comedy improv to our everyday lives and goals. Take a creative risk in a supportive room full of soon-to-be friends. Leave feeling energized and excited for more - the only risk is laughing too much!

Sarah LeClair is a Philadelphia-based improv performer, director, and instructor. She served as Executive Director of ComedySportz Philadelphia, and can be seen in their mainstage matches and in their specialty shows such as Pitch/Black and Murder Manor: Golden Girls (Rose). She also works frequently with SideQuest Theater, performing (Best Medicine), directing (Objection! An Unscripted Courtroom Comedy), and instructing (Camp SideQuest). Sarah is also one half of the improvised horror comedy Terror Trove, and is developing two different improv shows at the moment based on classic works from Shakespeare and Dickens.
