Color of the Month: October — Orange: Energy • Warmth • Enthusiasm 🧡

For Michael Gardner aka Miss Pumpkin, New Hope's magic is in the people who care for one another, through good times and when it matters most 🫂

Though he grew up in the area, Michael began coming to New Hope in the mid-eighties. Here, he found the family he was meant to be part of: people who welcomed him, took him under their wing, shared life lessons, and always had his back 🏘️

After decades of laughter, friendship, and a few tears, Michael is paying that love forward to a new generation. Being called “Nonna” or “Grandma” is a reminder of the place he now holds in the community that first embraced him 🎃

This October, Orange celebrates the energy, warmth, and enthusiasm that make people feel welcome. Michael’s story reminds us how that spirit carries from one generation to the next 🌈
