Our Rotary Rocks event back in October helped raise $6,800 for Garden Spot Fire Rescue (GSFR39) and their Cadet Camp! Club members, Fred Groff and Erin Varley, presented a check to GSFR at their annual steak dinner January 8. Thank you to the event sponsors, the bands who donated their time and talents, the Lititz Shirt Factory for hosting, and all who attended Rotary Rocks and donated. We are blessed to be part of the ELANCO community!

Last night, Garden Spot Fire Rescue during our monthly meeting, was presented a check from the Rotary Club of Eastern Lancaster County in support of our junior Cadet Camp held annually every summer. Receiving the check is Fire Chief Darryl Keiser; President Tom Curtis and Assistant Fire Chief Cody Straub, also head of Cadet Camp.

Thank you to the Rotary Club for their generous donation to assist the younger generation in support of the volunteer fire service.

Cadet Camp is a week-long summer camp at Garden Spot Fire Rescue (GSFR39) for Cadets ages 10 to 14, who get hands-on experience learning firefighting, vehicle rescue, technical rescue, water rescue, and other skills! NEW NAME! The Rotary Club of New Holland is now the Rotary Club of Eastern Lancaster County. While our club supports local, national, and international initiatives, the new name is meant to better reflect our entire local service area. You may see both names for a bit as we work through this transition, so whether you see New Holland, Eastern Lancaster County, (or ELANCO Rotary, for short), we are the same club. Thank you!
