Congratulations Lauri W. on being named Volunteer of the Spring Session! 📣

Lauri W has been a Horse & Buddy volunteer for more than seven and a half years. She is a regular sidewalker on Thursday afternoons and is wonderful with her riders! Lauri is a calm and patient presence which adds so much to the overall lesson for everyone involved. She is also incredible with our Silver Saddle participants - kind, warm, and attentive to their needs. Some of you may have had the pleasure of mentoring with Lauri when you first came onboard with us as a volunteer. She exemplifies what a sidewalker's contribution to a Therapeutic Riding (TR) lesson should be, which is why we invited her to join our mentor team.

Wait, there's more! Every year at our annual golf outing, Lauri recruits her friends and they dress up in theme to add to the fun and laughter of an important cause. Lauri has also referred her friends to our volunteer program and we are all better off for it. She is a true ambassador of Horse & Buddy, and we want to honor her sincerely for her commitment to our mission.

Our stylish bay-colored trio is rocking their fly boots to help keep pesky insects away so they can stay comfortable and focused on their important jobs. And let's be honest—they're looking pretty fabulous while doing it! 💙

Thank you to Dr. Patrick Rebadow of Restored Chiropractic & Wellness for spending Monday morning caring for our herd!

Dr. Patrick provided chiropractic adjustments to several of our horses, helping keep them comfortable and feeling their best. Our horses give so much to our participants, and we are grateful for dedicated professionals like Dr. Patrick who help support their health and well-being.

Thank you for being an important partner in keeping our horses happy and healthy!

The Carolina Hurricanes brought home the Stanley Cup, and around here we're rolling with excitement! Just take a look at Snow White—she's clearly celebrating with her own version of a victory lap!

As we start a new week, take a page from the Hurricanes' playbook:
⭐ Keep your eye on the goal.
⭐ Don't be afraid to take your best shot.
⭐ Lean on your teammates.
⭐ And when life gives you a reason to celebrate, don't just trot—roll with it!

Snow White is proving that sometimes the best way to handle Monday is to throw your hooves in the air and enjoy the win.

Drew and his team had the right idea this week—cooling off under the mister with big smiles and thumbs up! 😎💦

As temperatures climb, we're making sure both our horses and humans stay safe, hydrated, and as comfortable as possible. Whether you're spending time at the barn, at the pool, or in the air conditioning, we hope you're staying as cool as Drew today!

On Monday, we welcomed TowerCo's IT Department for an equine-assisted team building experience.

Through a series of horse-centered challenges, team members practiced communication, collaboration, and problem-solving while working toward shared goals. The activities encouraged participants to learn more about one another, recognize team strengths, and identify practical takeaways they can apply back in the workplace.

There was plenty of laughter along the way as the team worked through challenges together and reflected on what helped them be successful. The horses really enjoyed their time too! Thank you to TowerCo for spending the morning with us and for fully engaging in the experience.

What a sweet way to spend a Sunday! 🍦

Our first-ever Participant Social was filled with smiles, laughter, and friendship. Participants enjoyed ice cream, played water games to beat the heat, and made frozen treats for our horses to enjoy this week. And Dillon has already enjoyed his stall frozen treat!

One of the greatest benefits of Horse & Buddy is the opportunity to connect with others. It was wonderful to see participants building friendships, sharing experiences, and enjoying time together outside of their regular lessons.
