Welcome to Open Labs at Yale - a fellowship of graduate students with a shared passion for educating and mentoring young scholars to pursue careers in the sciences. Since our inception in 2012 at Yale University, our non-traditional structure and network of events have enabled us to reach over 700 students (6-12th grade) and parents in the greater area of New Haven, CT through our community partne

rships, including Yale University's Pathways to Science Program (http://onhsa.yale.edu/pathways-science). The interactions that we have begun to forge through our network of events allow the development of long-term relationships between students and our graduate fellows. The impact and scalability of Open Labs, directed by the initiative of voluntary participants, have prompted an expansion effort to a growing number of universities, including University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University and Columbia University in just this past year.
