VFW New Haven Post 12150

VFW New Haven Post 12150 With a roster of Post-9/11 combat veterans, we are building a "new generation" VFW.

With a diverse roster of Post-9/11 veterans, we are proudly building a “new generation” VFW post in the largest, oldest, and most powerful war veterans service organization in America. Chartered in September 2015 by veterans from Southern Connecticut State University, the Connecticut National Guard, the102d Infantry Regiment, Gateway Community College, the University of New Haven, Yale University,

the city of New Haven and from across Connecticut and America, the VFW New Haven earned All-American status in July 2017 and 2021—the highest unit award in the VFW—placing our new crew in the top echelon of posts worldwide. Now, the VFW New Haven is the largest veterans service organization in the Elm City, a registered IRS Section 501(c)(19) nonprofit, and continues to revitalize the local veteran community, benefitting our town, our state, and our great nation.

🇺🇸 Every Registration Matters

Every registration is more than another name on a list—it's another veteran strengthening our community.

Our goal this year is simple:

🎯 250 Hikers
💙 $30,000 Raised
🇺🇸 One Mission: Build stronger support networks for veterans and their families.

Whether you're a veteran, active duty, Reserve, or National Guard, we'd be honored to have you join us.

Together, we can make a difference—one step at a time.

Hello Comrades,

I wanted to pass along an invitation to a great event for our veteran community.

Killam and Bassette Farm will be hosting a Farm to Vet Dinner on Sunday, August 23, at 4:00 PM at their farmstead, 1098 Main Street, South Glastonbury, CT.

Admission is free for all veterans and one guest, and it’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a great meal, connect with fellow veterans, and spend an afternoon together.

If you would like to attend, please RSVP as soon as possible to Mike Grunwald at [email protected] or 860-380-7642. Your reservation is confirmed once you receive a confirmation reply. If you don’t receive one, please follow up, as email responses can occasionally end up in spam filters.

If transportation is a concern, please let Mike know. Arrangements can be made to ensure everyone who wants to attend has the opportunity.

I hope many of you will be able to take advantage of this generous event and enjoy an afternoon of camaraderie with fellow veterans.

I could not be more proud and grateful of the members of Department of Connecticut Veterans of Foreign Wars and VFW Department of Connecticut VFW Auxiliary that traveled to the 127th VFW National Convention in Reno, Nevada. As I reflect on a successful convention, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who made it possible. Thank you to our members, the Auxiliary, and staff (Bella), and every attendee whose hard work and dedication ensured a memorable and productive convention.

Together, we honored our traditions, strengthened our mission, and set the course for another great year of service to veterans, their families, and our communities. I am grateful for your support and proud to serve alongside each of you.

Thank you, and may God bless the Veterans of Foreign Wars, our Auxiliary, and the great State of Connecticut.
