If you've recently lost SNAP—or know someone who has—please share this information. Access to nutritious food is essential to building healthy, thriving communities:

An important resource is now available for Connecticut residents who recently lost SNAP benefits.

The State of Connecticut has begun distributing a one-time $300 grocery benefit to eligible residents who lost their SNAP food assistance because of new federal work requirements.

An estimated 15,000 Connecticut residents are immediately eligible, with thousands more expected to become eligible this month.

📍 Where do I go?

Grocery benefits are being distributed through Connecticut's community action agencies. New Haven residents can contact the Community Action Agency of New Haven (CAANH) to learn more about the benefit and determine whether they may qualify: caanh.net

You can also use the Connecticut Department of Social Services' SNAP Work Rules Prescreener to learn how the new requirements may affect your benefits: heyor.ca/8MU8mC
