Today, the women of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, New Haven Metropolitan Chapter pause to honor the sacred meaning of Juneteenth a day of liberation, resilience, and continuing promise.

161 years later, we still rise. We still push. We still stand together in the power of who we are and the work still before us.

To our community: may this day fill you with pride, purpose, and the reminder that your freedom is worth celebrating.

Honoring Freedom. Advancing Equity. Inspiring Generations.
Today, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Chicago Metropolitan Chapter commemorates Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the enduring spirit of Black Americans.
As we honor June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas learned of their freedom, we also recognize that the pursuit of equity, justice, and opportunity continues. Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is not only a milestone in history but a responsibility we carry forward through advocacy, leadership, and service.
Today, we celebrate the sacrifices of those who came before us, the progress we have made, and our collective commitment to empowering Black women, girls, families, and communities for generations to come.
Happy Juneteenth! May we continue to honor our past while boldly shaping our future.

Yesterday, the women of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, New Haven Metropolitan Chapter, Inc. celebrated in style hosting Let’s Spring Forward in true fashion!

✨ Glitz. Glam. Sundresses. Summer Chic. ✨

The sisters gathered at 📍Outriggers Restaurant 555 Broad Street, Stratford, CT for an afternoon filled with beautiful energy, delicious food, meaningful sisterly engagement, and wonderful conversation.
