Join us on August 8th for Summer Supper, our Disability Pride potluck, in New Haven!

📅 August 8, 2026 | 4:00–8:30 PM
📍 The Sandbox, New Haven
🔗 RSVP & full event details: www.cripcare.org/events/summer-supper

To help create a gathering that is safer and more accessible for our community, we’ll be following these COVID precautions:

😷KN95 masks are required inside the building whenever guests are not actively eating or drinking. Masks will be provided for anyone who needs one.

🧪Proof of a negative COVID test is required. Please provide either:
- One negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of the event, or
- Two negative rapid tests—one taken the day before and one taken the day of the event.

🌬️HEPA air filtration will be running throughout the event.

🍽️ Food will be served at 5:00 PM. From 4:00–5:00 PM, the event will be fully masked to allow time for socializing before the meal.

🌳Outdoor seating is available outside the venue for those who prefer to eat outside.

🥡Takeout containers, refrigeration, and reheating will be available so attendees can store leftovers or save food to enjoy outside or later.

We understand that access is an ongoing process, and that no one Disabled person or organization can fully understand or anticipate the needs of every Disabled community member. We also recognize that current public health guidance has often failed our communities.

The protocols for this event were developed based on our own knowledge and the expertise of immunocompromised community members. We know there is always more to learn, and we welcome feedback on ways we can make this event and future events even safer and more accessible. If you know of a practice we should consider, we’d love to hear from you.

Calling all q***r, disabled, mad, chronically ill, and/or neurodivergent folk! We are so excited to be partnering with Stonington Pride and The Farrah Garland to bring you Queering Disability. We are aiming to build an intersectional grassroots community of advocates and activists, rooted in the principles of disability justice, who want to learn about policy and legislation here in Connecticut, and who want to get involved in making change for our communities. Join us this Thursday, January 8th, at 6:30pm on Zoom for our next meeting, and stay tuned for future meetings for this group!
