A BIG “Thank You!” to our donors for contributing to our annual fundraiser at this year. Because of you, we are able to partially fund the musicianship development for our members in each of the next three years. You are supporting instruction at our rehearsals, instrument maintenance, and anything that helps with making our musicians play better, so we can be even more effective at community outreach through musical performances and presentations.

What’s everyone’s favorite thing about playing with NHCCC? The food and the parties (in addition to the fun music and performance opportunities of course)! This year’s final party was full of laughters from the start to the finish. Impromptu clothing swap, violin solo performance, testimonial video, and a late night mahjong game. We are saying goodbye to some beloved members, but hope to have everyone back for a reunion concert sometime. Fun times~

Celebrating AAPI Month, we brought our curated “Spring Flowers” show to Hamden’s Miller Library. We tried out streaming our show for the first time tonight for fans who couldn’t make it in person. Our audience was so warm and lovely. Some familiar faces and lots of new friends as well. Thank you, Hamden!

From now until 8pm, every dollar donated in support of NHCCC on The Great Give will be matched by a local family honoring Ms. Lin, an inspirational teacher and community leader in New Haven. The Great Give is in full swing! On May 6 and 7, NHCCC and over 500 other local nonprofits are participating in the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven’s Great Give fundraiser.

This year, we need your help to reach our goal of $10,000 that help partially fund the development of our members’ musicianship for the next three years. Because NHCCC performs on traditional Chinese instruments, uncommon in Connecticut, it is essential for our members to receive instruction during our weekly rehearsals, in order to continue providing high-level cultural and musical experiences enjoyed by our audience members. More than providing nice sounding music, we are so glad that people in and around New Haven are able to get to know and embrace a culture different from their own. We hope that you join us in supporting this important mission of awareness and inclusion.
