Strings attached. In this case, that’s a good thing. 🎻

The Civic Orchestra of New Haven is welcoming string players to join us for our 2026–27 season, What Shapes Us.

From classical masterworks and contemporary voices to guest soloists, choral and cross-cultural collaborations, and a few instruments you don’t encounter every day, there’s plenty happening at CONH — come be part of it.

Advanced students, experienced amateurs, professional musicians and string teachers are welcome.

A little look back at our first rehearsal last week! 🎶

There’s something special about that first evening back together — instruments out, music on the stands, familiar faces around the room, and the first notes of a new season.

And apparently, it takes three selfies to fit an orchestra into the picture. 😄

So good to be making music together again!

Here’s to What Shapes Us! ✨

We had a wonderful time at the Yale GSAS Student Activity Fair today!

It was great to meet so many new people, talk about the Civic Orchestra of New Haven, and connect with musicians looking for opportunities to continue making music in the New Haven community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, picked up a card, asked a question, or simply came over to say hello. We loved meeting you and sharing what’s ahead for CONH this season. 🎶

Here’s to new connections — and more music ahead! 🎻

One of the highlights of our spring season was seeing our concerts featured by local media, arts organizations, and tourism partners throughout Connecticut.

From event calendars to feature articles and concert reviews, each mention became part of the story of our season. We were honored to be included by organizations that help people connect with the arts across our region.

We're grateful to each of them - and to everyone who joined us along the way.

Thank you for supporting the Civic Orchestra of New Haven throughout a memorable season. We can't wait to share what's next.

Here's to another season of making music together.
