A huge thank you to our wonderful fraternity volunteers from Quinnipiac University's "Big Event" for their hard work at our Spring cleaning at the Union Street Dog Park.

And thanks to park members Bob Trotta, Jonathan B., and Angela for pitching in.

Please share this with other park users so that they will join the group, and be aware of our next event in the summer.

Friends of New Haven parks,

Next Thursday, April 3 will be the 2nd of 3 public hearings on the New Haven budget at Career High School at 7 pm.

We need as many people as can to speak on behalf of increasing the parks budget.

Even Mayor Harp was impressed by the statistic we have cited to her - that 15 years ago we had about 100 park workers, while now we have about 50.

The last public Board of Finance hearing is Thursday, May 1 at Conte West School (Chapel St.) at 7 pm.

The lamp focused into the Union Street Dog Park, mounted on the pole in the park near the service gate is not working. Thanks, United Illuminating!
