Site Projects Inc Site Projects commissions artwork of outstanding caliber in New Haven’s public spaces. Site Projects is a private, nonprofit organization established in 2004.

To date, we have commissioned ten artists/artist-teams and presented twelve works, including: our inaugural piece Chasing Rainbows/New Haven by Leo Villareal (2004); Night Rainbow/Global Rainbow New Haven by Yvette Mattern (2013); Catalyze + Celebrate: Commissions + Conversations (2014), an ambitious series of events, including the commission of three murals by the artist Swoon; and, our longest r

unning exhibition to date, Felice Varini’s now iconic Square with four circles. On view since 2010 in downtown New Haven, this 110 foot tall anamorphic wall mural work is Varini’s only large-scale outdoor public artwork in the United States.

A first of many appreciation posts to acknowledge the amazing work of Baltimore artists for taking on a project of such magnitude that no one else would even take on to make our city even more beautiful. The amount of work they put in and in such a short amount of time is unbelievable!

The mural that is now almost completed can be found on Chapel Street in New Haven between S. Wallace and East Street. Be sure to look for the secret references to New Haven’s history, architecture and culture hidden in the geometries! 🎨🔶▫️🟩🔹🟡

Sites Projects will be holding a ticketed event for the official unveiling of ‘Blue Moon Chapel’ as well as a 20th anniversary celebration next Month! Details to follow in the coming days.
