Teamsters Local 443 is hosting our annual Christmas Toy Drive to spread holiday cheer to the children at The Children’s Center of Hamden.

We’re collecting new toys, coats, sneakers, games, art supplies, and gift cards to help make this season brighter for local kids in need. 💚❤️

💪 It was a full house at Teamsters Local 443’s General Membership Meeting today!

As part of the meeting, Local 443 also held its Nomination Meeting for Officers & Business Agents for the upcoming term of January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2028.

All candidates were nominated unopposed — a true show of unity and solidarity within our Local.

📣 A message from Secretary-Treasurer / Principal Officer, Sal Abate:

“It’s an honor to have the trust and confidence from the members of Local 443 to lead this Local Union for another three years!

I am proud to see our members come together in force to keep 443 moving forward.

Lastly, I would like to thank my Executive Board and my office staff… they are truly dedicated to this Local, and together we will continue to fight the fight, bringing the energy and drive our members deserve!”

Today, the majority of our First Student drivers and monitors showed up and UNANIMOUSLY voted to ratify their contract — securing wage increases while maintaining the strong benefits they deserve.

This victory shows what happens when workers stand together and make their voices heard. Congratulations to everyone who united to make this happen! 💪

As Teamsters, we stand together in solidarity, remembering the strength, resilience, and unity that carried our nation through one of its darkest days.

Teamsters Local 443 is proud to welcome the 35 drivers, service technicians, and merchandisers at Northeast Beverage into our union family! 💪

Congratulations to these new Teamsters! The 35 drivers, service technicians, and merchandizers at Northeast Beverage (a Mancini company) overcame challenges and union busting to win a decisive victory Friday and join Teamsters Local 443.
