Next we have our newest CRO: Taylor Redd! Taylor is a sophomore in Pauli Murray College from Charleston, SC. She is majoring in History with a concentration on the U.S. region. In addition to being a member of Theta, Taylor spends her free time tutoring and volunteering around New Haven with different Yale clubs, debating with her friends in the Progressive Party at the YPU and on the Politic magazine’s podcast, and eating lots of grilled cheeses in the dining hall. Taylor says that joining Theta has been one of the best decisions she’s made at Yale because it has introduced her to the most inspiring, encouraging, and down-to-earth group of girls. She can’t wait to make friends with and welcome the new member class during recruitment!!

Our latest CEAO is Erin Hill! Erin is a sophomore from Martha’s Vineyard in Pierson College studying Political Science with a concentration in International Relations. She's a member of the Varsity Women’s Basketball team, in addition to being the Community Consent Educator representative for Women's Basketball. This past summer, she lived in Italy for 8 weeks, eating pasta and taking language classes as a part of Yale’s Siena study abroad program. When she returned home, she was an intern for her district’s Court Magistrate. She typically spends the rest of her free time watching Love Island, writing, taking 3 minute naps, or drinking tea at Fussy Coffee. What Erin loves about Theta is that it has allowed her to connect with so many talented and supportive women.

Next up is our new COO: Cathy Geigel! Cathy is a sophomore from Miami in Berkeley Collge. She is majoring in ecology and evolutionary biology, and psychology, while doing pre-medical studies. She is a middle school educator for Community Health Educators, and teaches kids how to swim in SNUGS. When in Miami, she loves to go to the beach and loves going home to see her family. Theta has made such a big impact for Cathy because of the opportunity to make such great, deep friendships with her sisters, and she can't wait to meet our new members soon!

Introducing our latest CFO: Ariel Cohen! Ariel is a sophomore in Morse College from Los Angeles, CA. She is double majoring in Economics and Psychology with a certificate in Hebrew! When she isn’t in Sterling, she is fundraising and planning events for Morse College Council. Her hobbies include munching on overnight oats with extra almond butter, exploring contemporary art museums, and biking by the beach! Ariel also teaches a weekly seminar as chief development officer of Smart Woman Securities. She is currently planning a speaker series that will bring to inspire the next generation of women in business! She enjoys working with the Yale Student Investment Group and the Urban Philanthropic Fund, which bridges investment and community service in New Haven. You can find her spending her weekends eating Friday night dinner at Chabad at Yale and brunching (and studying!) with the incredible women she’s met through Theta!

Our newest CLO is Catherine Rutherfurd! Catherine is a sophomore in Timothy Dwight from New York City but was actually born in New Haven! While double majoring in History and Environmental Studies, Catherine enjoys working at the Yale Farm as a culinary events manager making pizza on Fridays at the farm. She worked as a line cook throughout high school, and now currently works events at Olmo Restaurant on Trumbull St. In addition to her interest in food, she's also on the student council for TD and works as a fellows aide in the TD office.

Next up is our new CAO: Leigh Logan! Leigh is a junior from Chicago majoring in African American Studies hoping to go to Law School. In her free time, she turtles with the Yale Undergraduate Prison Project, plays on the Club Volleyball team, gives advice to low-income High Achieving students on their college applications with Matriculate, and works with VITA to do tax returns for New Haven residents.

Introducing... our new CEO! Caroline Moore is a junior in Trumbull College and is from London, England. She is pursuing a B.S. in Psychology and has also earned Yale’s Certificate of Advanced Language Study in Chinese. Outside of Theta, Caroline is as an editor for the Yale Daily News, where she just finished two years working as a reporter for their City desk. In her free time, she plays the violin, is a competitive player of Super Smash Bro’s. Melee, and gets too competitive during Trivia Night at Mory’s. Caroline loves Theta for introducing her to a community of intelligent, kind, uplifting and accomplished women. She has seen how Theta creates a bond for a lifetime, no matter what college you went to or when you graduated. This legacy of sisterhood and unwavering support is something she looks to uphold as president.

Sister spotlight: As a Yale Women in Government fellow, Sophie is interning in Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro’s DC office working for her speechwriter this summer. Her responsibilities include drafting remarks for the Congresswoman, answering phones, and attending hearings and briefings. She is currently finishing up her ninth week in DC, and will be traveling to Europe in August with two of her Theta sisters, Angela and Antonia! ✨

Sister spotlight: Angela moved to LA in May to film The Frozen, an all female short film which addresses the detrimental aspects of social media, which she cowrote with fellow Theta Solia Hoegl. She is currently attending Yale in London and will be attending a screen acting course as a member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. In August, she is working in preproduction on the upcoming film Starlee, Starlee!

Sister spotlight: Ava is from San Francisco, California and is studying Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. She currently works for 23andme as a writer and consultant for their first-ever genetics magazine, which she created along with a small team of researchers and students from across the country. She plans on continuing to study genetics next semester by working in Dr. Katerina Politi’s lab, focusing on creating genetically-based targeted therapies for lung cancer
