Throwback to the last two years of our Annual Family BBQ!

From great food and fun activities to spending time together as a PFTL family, these gatherings have given us so many wonderful memories.

Now we’re looking back at the last two years and getting even more excited for our 3rd Annual Family BBQ! We can’t wait to celebrate, connect, and make even more memories together.

Our Beach Reflections group has been such a wonderful addition to our summer!

Each week, residents have the opportunity to spend time by the water, slow down, enjoy the fresh air, and reflect together. From meaningful conversations to simply taking in the sounds and scenery of the beach, these weekly outings have created a beautiful space for connection, mindfulness, and enjoying the season.

We’re so grateful for the moments, memories, and reflections this summer has brought!

The baby chicks have arrived!

It has been so much fun having them around, and they truly have become a house favorite. Last week, our residents even had the chance to name each of them!

We’re going to miss having our little friends around and hearing their sweet chirps, but we can’t wait until we get to do it all again!

Last baking group, our residents put their skills to work making a delicious key lime pie, and it came out amazing!

From measuring and mixing to sharing the finished product, baking groups offer opportunities to build confidence, practice new skills, and enjoy time together. We think it's safe to say this one was a success!

Through Their Eyes 💙

This powerful poem was written by a Parents’ Foundation resident and offers a glimpse into the often-unseen realities of living with mental health challenges. Through honest words of struggle, resilience, and hope, it reminds us that healing is not about never facing darkness; it’s about finding the courage to keep moving forward.

At Parents’ Foundation, we believe every story matters. Creative expression through writing, art, music, and conversation can be a meaningful part of the recovery journey, helping individuals process emotions, find their voice, and connect with others.

Thank you to the resident who shared this piece and allowed us to share it with our community.

“But I refuse to let it define who I am. I’ll fight through the darkness. I’ll break the dam.”

Hey from Mystic Aquarium!

Residents had an amazing day exploring the exhibits, watching the sea lion show, and getting up close with some incredible marine life. From colorful fish and playful penguins to learning fun facts about ocean animals, there was something exciting around every corner!

Outings like these are a great opportunity to get out into the community, try something new, and make memories together. Safe to say the sea lions were a crowd favorite!
