y providing them a peer-support network that understands their unique needs, builds confidence and strengthens their communication skills. Kesem operates at more than 130 chapters coast-to-coast. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations and corporate partners. Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Kesem at Yale was founded in 2013 and supports children in the greater New Haven community by providing a free two-week-long summer camp experience and year-round peer support. Camp Kesem at Yale is operated by 150 student volunteers and serves 140 campers ages 6-18 per year. In 2019, Kesem served more than 10,200 children coast-to-coast—all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners.
