New Haven Prevention Council The New Haven Prevention Council is a community coalition working to prevent underage drinking and other drug use among youth in New Haven, CT.

History
The New Haven Prevention Council was established to enhance and facilitate local involvement in the development and implementation of alcohol, to***co and other drug (ATOD) prevention activities. The Connection, Inc was the LPC’s lead agency for 5 years. As of 2015, the New Haven Family Alliance (NHFA) has taken the role as the lead agency. The Consultation Center (TCC) has partnered with

NHFA to support the New Haven Prevention Council as it works to prevent underage drinking. Mission
The Mission of the New Haven Prevention Council is to educate and promote healthy lifestyles in order to prevent substance abuse in New Haven. Goals
The goals of the New Haven Prevention Council are to:
-Increase the capacity of the coalition to address youth substance use and abuse
-Provide and disseminate information
-Implement prevention activities focusing on youth
