We're one week away from our first-ever Open Benefit!

An open benefit is a collaboration between multiple nonprofits in which we share the responsibilities of putting on an event while also sharing the proceeds from ticket and raffle sales. This year, the main event is the Great Nonprofit Game Show, a friendly trivia-based competition that will showcase all of our partner organizations as they compete for the title of Game Show Champion.

Grab your tickets at https://greatnonprofitgameshow.org - tickets start at $50, but our $60 tier includes an extra pre-reception, plus apps and drinks and extra opportunities to connect to members of the New Haven community.

We're so excited to work with these great event partners to make The Great Nonprofit Game Show a night to remember!

Whitneyville Cultural Commons strives to provide "public spaces, tools, and knowledge as shared resources to support thriving community" - and that commitment to collective action makes them the perfect venue for the first ever Open Benefit.

The Game Show Guys are our emcees for the evening, and they're pumped to help us highlight our six partnering organizations throughout the main event of the Great Nonprofit Game Show.

The Legacy String Quartet are alums of Music Haven and Danbury Music Centre. Having gotten their start participating in nonprofit programs, they're passionate about giving back by fostering community connection and supporting nonprofit and fundraising initiatives.

There's still time to grab your tickets for our 2024 Open Benefit! Check out greatnonprofitgameshow.org for more info.

We're so happy to be able to make an impact on so many local organizations through our first-ever Open Benefit.

Red sin fronteras para sobrevivientes de violencia aids women who have escaped domestic violence, specifically by creating a safe space for Spanish speakers who identify as originating from native peoples of Latin America. In 2025, they hope to start support groups focused on mental health, as well as opening a brick and mortar store where they'll host workshops and sell art created by women from Oaxaca and Connecticut alike.

Of a Sound Mind focuses on bringing mental health programming to faith-based communities around New Haven. In the new year, their goal is to expand and provide programs on a greater scale, promoting self care and depression/suicide awareness, and offering low or no-cost assistance with cleaning and laundry.

Black Boarders CT increases access to winter sports for Black and brown youth, with a special emphasis on snowboarding. Next year, BBCT is looking to expand their programming in the new year to include six Saturday sessions at Mt. Southington, a trip to Vermont, and an extended community trip to the mountains of Colorado.

Join us on Friday, November 15th, for The Great Nonprofit Game Show, where your ticket helps six small nonprofits from the New Haven area get closer to their goals for the new year. Learn more at greatnonprofitgameshow.org.

What kind of an impact do our partnering organizations have on their communities?

Haven's Harvest has doubled the amount of food they've saved from the wastestream compared to 2023.

Traveler on a Mission removes the barrier to access to personal hygiene products for an average of 600 people per month in their local Ansonia community and beyond.

Brave Nature School at Edgerton Park offers a "Choose Your Tuition" model that allows families to participate in their programming regardless of income level.

By joining us at The Great Nonprofit Game Show on Friday, November 15th, you'll help these organizations and our other community partners do even more good in our community - learn more at greatnonprofitgameshow.org.
