Bumble Bee Rescue!!!

The goodest boy went out after all but then chose to sit by me because he is not a fan of spraying water.

Bubba keeps the mom-guilt ALIVE!

Lucas and his buddy just went down to the creek which is past the fence and Bubba can't join them this time. Clearly he has some feelings about it.

It is a requirement.
To find that sweet spot of sunshine.
And revel.
Roll.
Stretch.
Purr.
Seek it out and claim it.
We must.

After not seeing our girl for way longer than I'd hoped, I was thrilled when she chose to follow me to the gate 😍.

This, after her pretty much ignoring me on our last couple of visits.

There was more to it. Farah DeJohnette has been working to build a relationship with her and support her through separation anxiety.

Here, I used strategy, including: waiting to go into the field until I was sure I felt calm and joyful, and then going in and inviting her out a few minutes after she saw that her friend Blue got to go out and graze 😊

But I'll take it! Modeling, scratches, and grazing = building positive associations when mom comes in the field.

It was a great day.

Thank you Alexis Nikole πŸŒΎπŸ€ for always sharing your expertise with us! Your vid motivated me to finally get out there and try to figure out which this was 🌱

Glad we don't have chickens yet 😬.

I have been told that they are otherwise a good omen ❀️. I'll take it!

Personally think they are beautiful.

This is a little tongue in cheek but also something worth considering.

I actually think its a strength to be able to quickly change focus. For some folks, what becomes difficult is when the *deer* then becomes the new focus and we can't get back to the original thought/plan/thing we were doing.

The question I pose here is a nod to thinking about our brains in context. Our brains have always been diverse. It's what makes our families and communities varied so we can work together to live.

You may be strong in areas where I feel challenged and I may be strong in areas that challenge you.

When we condense everything down, separate people, and make self reliance the goal rather than community interdependence, then our personal " "challenges" (there's a better word to use here, I'm sure) become "problems to fix."

Can we move past this current model? Can we share our strengths, gifts, genius and not be expected to do it all? Because someone else has the gifts you need in the areas that may be hard for you ❀️
