Community Soup Kitchen Our mission? It's simple: Uplifting our community by providing healthy, nutritious meals to everyone!

Community Soup Kitchen provides lunch five days a week October through May and six days a week June through September. We work with four other sites to offer breakfast to the homeless four days a week and serve breakfast with a bag lunch on Saturdays. We work with Saint Luke’s Services to provide lunch twice a week to women and children. The second and fourth Tuesday of every month we give out exc

ess donated food at our community farm stand in our driveway on Broadway. Our guests include the homeless, elderly, those living with AIDS, those living on welfare, mentally ill, chronic substance abusers, single parents, veterans, and the lonely. In addition to providing free nutritious meals, Community Soup Kitchen acts as a host site to agencies that offer assistance to our guests, such as Hill Health Center, and the ACCESS mental health outreach team. This spring we hosted multiple clinics for Covid vaccinations.

Across neighborhoods throughout New Haven, every meal represented care, community, and the belief that everyone deserves access to nourishing food.

The Community Soup Kitchen currently serves across multiple spaces throughout the city, and we’re continuing to grow with one clear goal: to close the New Havrn Meal Gap

TODAY marks the start of The Great Give‼️Every contribution helps us continue serving our neighbors, expanding our reach, and building toward a stronger food system for New Haven.

We’re honored to announce our new partnership with , expanding food access through a 5,000 sq ft service center at 75 Hamilton Street in Fair Haven. With continued pantry service for 650+ families and the launch of hot takeout meals four days a week, we’re proud to grow our impact in New Haven—now serving four neighborhoods and working toward 380,000 meals annually by 2027.
This milestone is a true community achievement.

We’re deeply grateful to our extraordinary team of volunteers and staff—your daily dedication is the heart of everything we do.

At Community Soup Kitchen, we believe everyone deserves a hot, nutritious meal served with dignity. In 2024 alone, we provided 86,111 meals across New Haven! You can find CSK all over New Haven — from Downtown to Fair Haven, The Hill to Newhallville — because nourishment is a right, not a privilege.
