Hey, New Haven fam!
This has been a bad week, in terms of health problems… using my arms for anything remotely strenuous has been throwing my back out. With this in mind, no Westville Cleanup Volunteers project. My goal was to do a big one the first Sunday of every month, but I’m clearly not up to it at the moment, so I’m tentatively moving it up to next Sunday, health permitting. (Also, I had already canceled it preemptively last month, due to the July 4th holiday, which gets pretty wild around Edgewood Park)
Some good news, though: I have finally removed most of the litter from the block on Central Avenue between Fountain Street and Willard Street. I moved to the area in April, and this block was a bit of an eyesore at the time. After a few months of small-session de-littering, it’s looking pretty good! I wish I had taken “before” pictures, but live and learn.
