Join us for a 30-minute film screening and conversation exploring how public statues and memorials shape our understanding of history and can inspire community action. The program features the story of efforts to remove a Robert E. Lee statue in Murray, Kentucky, along with perspectives from activists working to restore a memorial honoring nine people enslaved by George Washington in Philadelphia.

Moderated by Yale historian David W. Blight, the conversation will feature filmmakers, community organizers, and public historians discussing truth-telling, public memory, and the pursuit of justice and equity.

Six Tuesday evenings, 6:30 to 8:00 PM, September 22 through October 27. Free.

🩰 FREE ballet classes are coming to the Q House! 🩰

New Haven Ballet is offering FREE classes for our littlest dancers at the Dixwell Community "Q" House — and tuition is completely free for neighborhood residents of Dixwell, Fair Haven, Hill North, Newhallville, West River/Dwight, and West Rock/West Hills.
Open to children Pre-K through 2nd grade. Classes start Friday, September 4 and run every Friday!

Fridays at the Q House:
🌸 4:00–4:45 PM — Creative Ballet I & II (Pre-K/Kindergarten)
🌸 4:45–5:30 PM — Pre-Ballet (1st Grade)
🌸 5:30–6:30 PM — Primary (2nd Grade)
