State Secretary Brailey Livingston assisted at the Middlebury Legislative Luncheon. The meeting was hosted by Addison County Farm Bureau and co-sponsored by The Addison Grange. In attendance were the Senators and Representatives serving the area along with community members who had a chance to voice their opinions and ask questions. Brailey welcomed community members, and assisted with opening and closing the meeting. She met many Vermont FFA Alumni who could share stories of their great memories wearing their jackets.

This past Wednesday The FFA National Secretary Lilly Nyland joined State Officers Hailey and Mackenzie Chase along with a North Country Chapter President Kierstin Moulton on two industry tours. Starting off the day at a feed mill, Poulin Grain. We got a behind the scenes tour of the facility and how everything works. Our second tour we visited the Coutures Maple operation during this tour we learned about the history of the sugar house and the farm.

Last night chapters from across Vermont joined industry professionals and the National FFA Secretary Lilly Nyland for an industry dinner at the East Side Diner in Newport Vermont. Members had the opportunity to talk with industry professionals about different sectors in Vermont Agriculture like; maple production, forestry, processing of value added foods and goat dairy production.
