Every child deserves someone in their corner when school gets difficult.

Whether it's homework help, tutoring, a quiet place to focus, or simply an adult saying, "You can do this," our Clubs give young people the support they need after the school day ends.

And those afternoon hours matter.

Through academic enrichment, STEM, mentorship, leadership development, and more, we're helping Club Kids build the skills and confidence to succeed-in school and beyond.

⚙️ Unlocking Opportunities for Tomorrow’s Workforce! 🛠️

Yesterday, on National Manufacturing Day (October 2nd), our middle and high school Club Teens had an incredible experience visiting Hobson & Motzer across both of their facilities in Durham and Wallingford, Connecticut! 🏢✨

From seeing advanced precision technology up close to exploring exciting career paths in modern manufacturing, our Club Teens gained invaluable insight into real-world workforce skills.

This impactful event was made possible through a fantastic collaborative effort! A huge thank you to all of the partner organizations involved:
🔹 Town of Wallingford Economic Development Commission
🔹 Quinnipiac University School of Computing & Engineering
🔹 Hobson & Motzer
🔹 United Way of Meriden and Wallingford

We look forward to continuing this vital work and collaborating on future opportunities to introduce teens to rewarding career paths and possibilities they may not yet be aware of! 🚀💼

It’s hard to focus on homework, make friends, or just be a kid when you’re worried about where your next meal will come from.

At BGCGNH, nutritious meals and snacks are an essential part of the Club experience. And we go beyond meeting an immediate need by helping young people understand nutrition and build healthy habits that can last a lifetime.

When kids walk through our doors, they shouldn’t have to worry about their next meal, their job should simply be to be kids.

Help put a meal within reach!

We want to send a massive thank you to the for connecting us with a fantastic group of volunteers from Mirion Technologies for the annual Day of Caring! 💙

Our volunteers brought hard work to our Ulbrich-Wallingford Clubhouse, rolling up their sleeves to clean and organize inside while tackling lawn care outside to keep our space welcoming and ready for our youth! At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater New Haven, we appreciate our volunteers beyond measure—no volunteer opportunity is too small or too big!

Thank you, Mirion Technologies and United Way, for giving back to our community and making a direct impact on the lives of our Club members. We couldn't do what we do without dedicated partners like you! 🌟👏

Lights, Camera, Action! 🎬 ✨ Our CITs had an absolute blast visiting WPAA - TV and Community Media Center in Wallingford!

From meeting Penny the Penguin to posing in front of the green screen and placing themselves inside historical moments, our teens got a full interactive studio experience. 📸 🐧 They even got to interview on camera, tour the podcast rooms, and celebrate a great visit with ice cream sandwiches! 🍦

Thank you to the team at WPAA-TV for showing our future creators how local media magic happens! ❤️
