It was great to visit the New Glarus Brewing Co. once again!

For those who may not know, Deb and Dan Carey, the New Glarus Brewing Company, and Only in Wisconsin Giving have been tremendous supporters of PVA-WI for many years. Their generosity has played an instrumental role in helping send our members to the National Veterans Wheelchair Games and supporting our overall mission.

This past Friday, we had the privilege of presenting them with a small token of our appreciation in recognition of their continued partnership and unwavering support. We were also honored to receive their renewed commitment to supporting PVA-WI with a ceremonial check presentation.

We are incredibly grateful for Deb and Dan, their outstanding team, and the culture of giving they have created. We never take any partnership, sponsorship, or charitable contribution for granted, and we are proud to work alongside organizations that make such a meaningful difference in the lives of our veterans.

Thank you for your continued support and for helping us empower veterans across Wisconsin!

Memorial day is about balancing respectful remembrance with the celebratory start of summer.

Visit a local veterans cemetery, war memorial, or monument to place flowers or small American flags on the graves of the fallen.

Today is National Poppy Day! The poppy is a reminder that their courage will never be forgotten. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Please wear a red poppy to honor our heroes living and fallen. โค๏ธ

The red poppy speaks where words fall short โ€” a silent tribute to the sacrifices made for our freedom by the heroes who served and died for our country in all wars. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน The poppy is a reminder that their courage will never be forgotten. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

After World War I, the American Legion Family brought National Poppy Dayยฎ to the United States by asking Congress to designate the Friday before Memorial Day as National Poppy Day.

The Auxiliary promotes the poppy as a symbol of the sacrifices our military have made, a symbol to open peopleโ€™s hearts and inspire them to donate to help support the future of veterans, servicemembers, and their families. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Today, on National Poppy Day, wear a red poppy to honor the fallen and support the living. โค๏ธ

To support this effort, USAA is partnering with researchers at the University of Colorado School of Medicine to conduct a study on how military members and their families talk about storing and staging fi****ms kept in the home.
Participants of the study (military servicemembers, veterans, spouses, children 18+ and caregivers) will complete a 30-minute interview over Zoom for the study. Partcipants will receive a $25 gift card.
