The New Glarus Lions Club wishes to express their sincere thanks to all of the sponsors, donors, and workers who made our annual charity golf outing last Sunday a succuss. With your support, the New Glarus Lions raised money to support continued community service projects, scholarships, vision screening, diabetes awareness, and other Lions initiatives. The following made our event possible through generous donations and support. Sponsors financially contributed to the placemat advertisements and donors contributed to raffle and door prizes. Kids (Ages 11-13) - Do your part... Help Inspire Peace in Your Community!

The New Glarus Lions Club is challenging area children ages 11-13 the opportunity to share what peace means to them through art. For nearly four decades, the Lions International Peace Poster Contest has given Lions clubs around the world opportunity to sponsor the contest in schools and organized youth groups, giving young people the opportunity to be recognized for their creativity in sharing their vision of the current year’s theme, “Harmony in Humanity”

When we treat each other with respect and kindness, peace can flourish. This year, we invite young people to imagine a world where people of every culture and background live together peacefully celebrating differences, finding common ground and creating true harmony in humanity.

These contests are a wonderful way for Lions clubs to engage young people, spark creativity, encourage thoughtful expression, and promote the message of peace throughout your community. Local winners can win gift cards up to $100 and, on the international level, be awarded a grand prize of $5,000.
Parents may order their eligible child a peace poster kit from the New Glarus Lions Club between October 1, 2026 and October 15, 2026. Please order your peace poster kit by emailing the New Glarus Lions Club at [email protected] or send a message to the Club via Facebook Messenger. Please provide your contact information for the club to get you your kit. The New Glarus Lions club has to limit the entries to the first 10 requested.

Posters are due back by October 31, 2026. The New Glarus Lions Club will select its winners and announce them November 10, 2026, and submit the winner to the District Governor by November 15. For international consideration. On or before February 1, 2027, Club presidents of international winners will be notified.

Together, let’s inspire creativity, encourage young voices, and make a difference in our communities!
