An overwintering garden may appear messy to the untrained eye, but we promise you the spring beauty, comforting nature sounds and less mosquitoes will be worth it!! If you happen to drop by our garden, please understand the stems and dead plants are currently hosting guests and feeding birds that will be helping us pollinate fruits/veggies and exterminate pests next year! Once we educate ourselves, we can slowly start to transform our perception of beauty to work with nature and see compassion for the smallest species working in our gardens and ecosystems.

Some information and updates:
We harvest every Wednesday around 2pm. Stop by and say hi!
We are always looking for helpers! Weeding, fertilizing, planting, etc.
Currently we are putting in drip lines from the rain barrel and hooking them up to solar panels and a timer.
We make sure the garden is a family friendly zone and often have crafts for kids while we are working,
If you're out shopping at IGA or visiting the firehouse or new spicey restaurant 🌶️, take a walk back and lollygag through the raised beds to see what we have accomplished so far.
We are always open for donations of any kind; soil, labor, trellises, seeds, fertilizer, fencing, outdoor materials, and so on. We will take money, but it's not our favorite, we prefer the connection that coming together to work on something creates.

Red lobelia- bees, hummingbirds, butterflies
Nasturtiums- wasps, bees, butterflies, moths
Marigolds- wasps, moths, dragonflies
Sunflowers- Eastern goldfinch, bumblebees, flies, butterflies, wasps
Native Coral Honeysuckle- humming birds, dragonflies, butterflies

Some tomatoes 🍅 are starting to ripen! We have heirlooms planted. Hopefully these beauties are ready soon!
