Dear New Egypt Recreation Baseball Families,
For years, Coach Larry Jones has given countless hours to the kids in our community, coaching, mentoring, volunteering, and supporting our youth on the baseball field and beyond. In addition, Larry also coached the Middle School Baseball team. Most of you probably know that Larry is also the Baseball Rec. League President and also the Rec. Board President for New Egypt.
Larry is currently awaiting a heart and liver transplant. During this incredibly difficult journey, his wife, Melissa, will be traveling frequently to the city and serving as his primary caregiver throughout what is expected to be a long recovery, while also caring for their family at home.
The travel, lodging, meals, and everyday expenses will add up quickly. A fundraiser has been created to help ease some of that financial burden so Larry and his family can focus on what matters most — his health and getting him back home.
Larry has always been there for our players, our families, and our community. Now we have the opportunity to be there for him.
