Happy Memorial Day from Troop 9! We marched in two parades, one in Allentown and in New Egypt. Older scout Gavin, brought a deck of cards to entertain our younger scouts during line up. It was a great way to spend time together and remember those that served on Memorial Day!

Memorial Day was once called Decoration Day, a time to care for and honor the resting place for those that gave all to their country. Troop 9 observed this tradition by placing flags at BG William Doyle Veterans Cemetery with scouting groups from all over NJ and PA. We also prepared the American Legion by weeding, mulching, and planting flowers before their Memorial Day ceremony. 🇺🇸

Troops 9 & 1 9 hiked 9 miles on the Sunrise Mountain Loop at Stokes State Forrest this weekend. Our new crossover scouts learned lessons on trail safety, map and compass, and water filtration. Back at camp the patrols cooked chili mac and teriyaki chicken. We wrapped up the night with an exciting game of capture the flag!

Kids 5th grade and younger and their families are invited for a fun night of Candy BINGO on Tuesday April 28 at the American Legion! Each full size candy bar you bring is exchanged for 1 BINGO card. Winners split the candy! You can bring as many candy bars as you like! No fun size or mini candy bars please. Please bring a non perishable food donation for our food drive.
