My Story
Hey! I’m Chase,
So you’re probably wondering, “Hey, whats this page all about?”, Well let me tell you... I guess you could say it kinda started with me being a history freak, always wanting to learn more and more about our country. There was a problem though... while sitting in history class learning about the Vietnam War, we also learned how those veterans were treated really poorly when they returned from war. This made me think “Whats much different today?”. By this I mean we may not treat them “poorly” as I described, but I honestly don’t think we show close to the right amount of the appreciation that they deserve. I mean come on they went over seas busted their backs, tackled bombs, and did whatever it took to protect our country. So I thought to myself “What can I do to give back to them and show them they’re appreciated?”. Then I remembered my 9th grade history class, one of the best and coolest history teachers I had. What he would do at the end of every month is bring in a vet, former CIA people and so forth. Then we would have hot chocolate, coffee and snacks, and they would tell their stories and answer any questions we had. I really really enjoyed every time we had one of these things. So I kinda branched off that idea and twisted it, and I guess you can say thats how “Pancakes For Vets” was born.
