“Hear and Be Heard” was a very enjoyable event yesterday. Thank you to all who participated and we invite all to join us at our next event at the New City Library, High Tor Room, Sunday, May 3, 2026, 2:00 PM-4PM

What if changing the way we vote could change everything? Join us for an inspiring afternoon as we watch and discuss the 30 minute documentary “Majority Rules” (presented by UniteNY). Explore what brings us together, not what divides us. Be part of a meaningful community conversation. Come curious. Leave connected.

Here is a summary of “Majority Rules”:

"With America's democratic experiment mired in division and dysfunction, the state of Alaska votes to revolutionize their election system. The surprising results spark new alliances, a growing call for election reform, and fierce pushback from political parties. Could changing how Americans vote also change politics for the better?"

Braver Angels is a nonprofit organization working to reduce political polarization in the United States. We bring together conservatives, liberals, and everyone in between for respectful conversations, workshops, and debates.

Our goal isn’t to change anyone’s political views, it’s to help people better understand one another, disagree without hostility, and find common ground where possible.

We host “Red/Blue” workshops, community debates, and other events across the country, many led by trained volunteers.

In a time when so much feels divided, our mission is simply this: stronger relationships, healthier conversations, and a more constructive civic culture.

Stay tuned to this page for updates for local Rockland County events.
