What does it take to protect the Amazon at the scale it needs?

At the 74th Annual Conference of the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Florida, four researchers from the Science Panel for the Amazon (SPA) sat down to discuss exactly that: protected areas, restoration, and sociobioeconomy as interconnected pieces of the same challenge.

The conversation draws on decades of fieldwork across the basin and centers something the SPA has always insisted on: that science, Indigenous knowledge, and local community experience need to work together to generate real solutions.
