My momma was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 and was "cured." Then, in 2012, it metastasized, and she was diagnosed with lung, breast, bone, and brain cancer. Before cancer treatments, she loved Highlander Grogg coffee. Unfortunately, we only drank the coffee on special occasions because it was a bit pricey. However, after she was diagnosed and given a few months to live, she decided she was going to drink Highlander Grogg for the rest of her life. She did just that. She died on July 24, 2012.
I lost my momma and my best friend, but I did not lose the will to fight cancer. I decided to create my own Highlander Grogg, a flavor created by mixing caramel, butterscotch, and Irish whiskey. My dear friends and I got together and we chose the bean we liked for our new Highlander Grogg. I chose a roaster to help me create our coffee. The roaster, Harrison Street Roaster, in Alexandria provides us with Highlander Grogg, Bourbon Strussel, Jamaican Me Crazy, and Ethiopian. This coffee is freshly roasted and sells for $10.00 a bag. All proceeds go to the Henry County Fortune Fund. Thank you for your support in the fight against cancer. Hope always!!!
