It is with profound sadness that the Simmonsville Volunteer Fire Department announces the passing of our Life Member, Michael Pauley.

Michael joined the department in March 1990 and dedicated more than three decades of unwavering service to our department and the community we proudly serve. Throughout his years with Simmonsville, he provided tireless effort, steadfast commitment, and a willingness to help whenever called upon. His dedication played an important role in the growth and success of our department, and his impact will be felt for years to come.

Beyond his service, Michael was a friend, mentor, and brother firefighter to many. His kindness, experience, and commitment to helping others exemplified the values of the fire service. He leaves behind a legacy of service that will not be forgotten by those who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

On behalf of the members of the Simmonsville Volunteer Fire Department, we extend our deepest condolences to Michael's family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. We ask our community to keep them in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.

Thank you, Michael, for your 36 years of dedication, sacrifice, and service. We have the watch from here.
