Put your purple on and take a picture! Tag Safe At Home to show support to survivors today!
October 15th is DAY OF ACTION! Survivors face challenges everyday that make them feel alone, invisible and without support.

The small action of putting on a purple shirt and snapping a picture may not seem like much, but it tells those survivors that they are SEEN, LOVED and that we CARE.

Sometimes, that’s all someone needs to know, to get the help they need.

Safe At Home is here to support survivors in their journey to peace. No matter how long it takes, or how much you feel like you’re alone- we see you, and we WANT to help you.

Mabel offers moral support, supervises her advocates desk, and looks adorable while the rest of us do all the work.

Her qualifications include: ✨

-Expert in looking busy while doing absolutely nothing.
-Making people smile.

She may not be much help, but she does have excellent vibes. & Mabel wants you to know that no survivor should feel alone, and everyone deserves dignity, respect , and safety! 💜

🧡 Indigenous Survivors Matter

Indigenous women experience disproportionately high rates of violence, yet many survivors face additional barriers when seeking safety and support.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we recognize Indigenous survivors, honor the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two Spirit people (MMIWG2S), and reaffirm that every survivor deserves to be heard, believed, and supported.

Ending domestic violence means advocating for every community. 🧡

💚 World Mental Health Day | October 10

Mental health matters, and everyone deserves support, understanding, and access to care.

For survivors of domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault, the impact often extends far beyond the immediate experience of abuse. Trauma can affect sleep, confidence, relationships, emotional well-being, and a person's sense of safety long after the abuse has ended.

Healing is not linear, and there is no timeline for recovery. Survivors deserve patience, compassion, and support without judgment or pressure to simply move on.

At Safe At Home, we recognize that safety means more than being free from abuse. It also means having the space, resources, and support to begin healing.

💚 Today, and every day, remember to check on the people around you, lead with compassion, and remind survivors that they are not alone.

💜 PURPLE THURSDAY 💜
When? October 15th —next Thursday!

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and on Purple Thursday, we’re asking you to wear purple with us.

Purple is the color of domestic violence awareness. By wearing it, you’re helping start conversations, show support for survivors, and remind our community that domestic violence is something we all have a role in ending.

So grab your purple shirt, purple shoes, purple earrings, or whatever purple you have and join us!
