Hello Delaware!!!
After a very humbling and successful Delaware America pageant weekend, we are very proud and excited to make a few announcements regarding some changes to the organization.
We bid farewell to Zach King, as they will be taking a step back from the organization to their next adventures of life and starting their journey to achieve their dreams. We thank Zach from the bottom of our hearts for the hard work and dedication that they have done for our community here in the state of Delaware. They worked tirelessly to put on amazing events, create safe spaces for everyone, advocating for the rights of the community, and putting on a phenomenal Delaware Pride Festival year-over-year. We wish Zach so so so much love and success as they strive to reach their goals of life!
I am happy to announce that I was provided the opportunity to take over as the President of the organization.
With regards to some changes to the organization. We have had an amazing run with putting on the Delaware Pride Festival. We thank everyone for all of the love and supported us over the years. We have had so much fun with all of you celebrating unity, community, individuality, most importantly PRIDE.
To that, we are excited to announce that we Delaware Pride will be changing hands with First State Pride to take over the Delaware Pride Festival. We wish them the utmost success with so much love, as they continue to bring the Festival to Delaware.
With regard to the organization, we will continue to work on events, advocacy, and community resources. There is also going to be a change to the name of the organization. We look forward to announcing it soon as soon as the last i is dotted and t is crossed.
I look forward to continuing a beautiful journey with all of you and wish First State Pride the absolutely best in continuing the festival’s legacy!
