Earlier this month, Arise had the opportunity to participate in the PA CareerLink Lawrence County Awareness Day – Community Resource Event.

It was great connecting with community members and networking with so many organizations serving Lawrence County. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about a variety of local resources, and several employers were also on hand to share information about current job opportunities.

Events like this highlight the importance of community collaboration and ensuring that individuals and families know where to turn for support, services, and opportunities.

Thank you to PA CareerLink® Lawrence County for organizing this event and to everyone who stopped by our table to learn more about Arise and the services we provide throughout the community!

Last week, members of the Arise team attended the 2026 National Sexual Assault Conference in Washington, D.C. under the theme “United in Purpose, Committed to Action.”

We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn alongside advocates, educators, preventionists, and other professionals from across the country, share ideas and strategies, and strengthen the connections that help us better support survivors and advance the work to end sexual violence.

Thank you to NSVRC, Pennsylvania Coalition to Advance Respect, and Respect Together for putting on an impactful and informative conference!

We are entering The Red Zone.

The Red Zone refers to the period between the start of the fall semester and Thanksgiving break—a time when more than half of college sexual assaults occur.

As students head back to campus, it's important to look out for one another, respect boundaries, practice consent, and speak up when something doesn't seem right.

If someone tells you they have experienced sexual assault, believe them, listen without judgment, and remind them that what happened was not their fault.

If you or someone you know needs support, Arise's 24/7 confidential hotline is available at 724-652-9036. We offer free and confidential services, including counseling, legal advocacy, and medical advocacy.
