Our NCLL Sr Softball All-Stars saw their incredible season come to an end at the Delaware State Tournament, but as Manager Kenny Wallace shared, the final outcome doesn’t reflect how hard these ladies fought in both games. A couple of tough breaks that didn’t go our way could have completely changed the outcome of the series. 💛

The offense was led by Bella Sosa, Sophia Rivera, Maria Meadow, and Brooke Currier, while Aubree Phillips did her best in the circle trying to hold off a veteran Sussex team attack.

We’re incredibly proud of everything this team accomplished, finishing the season with an undefeated regular season, an undefeated run to the 2026 Delaware Senior League District 2 Championship, and advancing to the Delaware State Tournament while representing New Castle Little League with pride every step of the way.

Congratulations to Manager Kenny Wallace, Coaches Jeff Shrum and Ed Kirkpatrick, our players, and their families on an unforgettable season. Thank you for your hard work, determination, resilience, and heart.

🏆💚💛 DISTRICT 2 CHAMPIONS… NOW IT’S TIME FOR STATES! 💛💚🏆

Our New Castle Little League Senior Softball All-Stars are headed to the 2026 Delaware Senior League State Tournament after an incredible run to the District 2 Championship!

The girls entered Districts with an undefeated regular season and finished the job in dominant fashion, defeating Suburban/Newark National on back-to-back game nights!!!

Now the next chapter begins.

🌟 Summer Softball. Summer Growth. Summer Family. 🥎 💚

While everyone is getting excited for the fall season, we want to take a moment to recognize the work that’s been happening all summer long.

Every single week, our Minor A & Minor B coaches have been out on the field from 6-9 PM, volunteering their time to help develop the next generation of New Castle Little League softball players. These girls, ages 5-11, have been building fundamentals, confidence, friendships, and a true love for the game.

Last night’s focus? Sliding.

Let’s be honest… sliding can be intimidating, especially the first time.

But every single player stepped up, faced that fear, and gave it everything she had. Some slides were picture perfect. Some were a little messy. Some ended with dirt on their uniforms and huge smiles.

Every single one was a success.

That’s what youth sports are all about.

A huge thank you to all of our incredible volunteer coaches for investing so much time, patience, and energy into these girls all summer long.

A very special thank you to Coach Matt Santoleri for leading the way, keeping these weekly practices organized, and showing up for our girls every single week without fail. Your commitment, leadership, and passion have made a tremendous impact on every player who has stepped onto that field this summer.
