FUNDING UPDATE: Fund is established!
We have successfully raised the $5K required to establish the fund. Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported the effort so far!

This is just the beginning. The more the fund grows, the more we'll have available for NPOs in Henry County. There will be more updates to come.

For now, here's some info on the funding.

1. How many donations?
12 donations have been made on behalf of 10 individuals/couples and 2 groups. Within those groups are many individuals so the total number of donors could easily exceed 20 people.

2. Largest donation?
$1,000

3. Smallest donation?
$15

4. Average donation?
about $83
But if we estimate individual donor count at 20, then the actual average per individual donor (as opposed to group) is $50.

5. Is it too late to contribute?
NO. The more we add to the fund, the more the fund can distribute.

FUNDING UPDATE: 94.7% COMPLETE!
We've had some more donations come in and are now just $265 away from our goal.
Small change makes a big difference!
Even just $5 puts us noticeably nearer to establishing the fund.

Got a few more small donors over the past few days. That's what we need! If you've thought about giving at all, now is the time.
We're nearing the end of the initial funding drive and it's going to the little gifts that push us across the finish line.

Created a simple website that ties this fundraising effort together with related efforts in the community to show how much people are working together toward progress.

Makes for a nice way of advertising the fund as you can see how much people are willing and eager to see LGBTQ+ support grow in Henry County.

FUNDING UPDATE: 82.874% COMPLETE
Another day, another dollar. Well, actually over a thousand 'nother dollars!

We are well under a thousand dollars away from our goal.
$856.31 to be exact.

Every little bit, indeed, helps! We're at the stage now where change you find between couch cushions can push us over the edge.

FUNDING UPDATE: 62.5% COMPLETE
We are currently at $3,125, putting us at over 60% completion of the $5,000 goal. This is a great place to be as we enter the last two weeks of our initial funding campaign.

FUNDING UPDATE
We received a generous gift of $1,000.
This puts us at 40% of initial funding goals.
It also maxes out the matching gift offer we received.
The matching gift donor has been notified and we will update once that gift comes in.

Not everyone has to give in big amounts, of course. Every little bit puts us closer to permanently establishing financial support for the development of LGBTQ+ focused NPOs in Henry County.

We only have a few weeks. Every donation is a vote for a more inclusive and friendly Henry County! Let's do this!

Here's a one page primer on fund financials.
Main thing is that we need to hit $5K by the end of September.
Once that is done, the fund becomes permanently established. Money can then be distributed to qualifying NPOs beginning in 2024.

But there's more to it than just that!

***MATCHING GIFT ALERT***

We need to hit $5K in donations by the end of September for the fund to become permanent and money to become available for NPOs by 2024.

To help realize this former Henry County resident Chris Miller and his wife, Katy Barnhart, have generously offered to match any gift up to $1,000.

If another generous donor holds them to this promise, those two gifts alone will satisfy 40% of our funding goals!
