This week during Lifewise (Park Layne – 1st Graders) students learned about the story of Adam and Eve and how God created us in His image to know Him, love Him, and live for His glory! From the very beginning, God had a beautiful plan for His creation.

Adam and Eve’s story reminds us that God created us to have a relationship with Him, but sin separated us from God. Even when humanity turned away from Him, God never stopped loving us and had a plan to bring us back to Him!

This story also points us to Jesus! Jesus came into the world to rescue us from sin and restore our relationship with God. Through Jesus, we can be forgiven and become part of God’s family. What a wonderful reminder of God’s amazing love for us!

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” — Genesis 1:1

✨ Truth to remember: God created us to know Him, love Him, and obey His Word. Even when sin separates us from God, He loves us and has made a way for us to be brought back to Him through Jesus!

This week during Lifewise, Donnelsville students learned about Samuel and the importance of being attentive to God’s Word. When God called Samuel, he listened and responded! Samuel reminds us that listening to God is important, but we must also be willing to obey what He teaches us.

Being attentive to God means more than just hearing His Word. It means putting it into practice in our everyday lives and listening to others with love, patience, and understanding. When we follow God’s Word, we show that we trust Him and want to live according to His plan!

Samuel’s story also points us to Jesus! Jesus is the Word made flesh, and He didn’t just tell us about God—He showed us how to live in obedience to Him. As we listen to God’s Word and put it into action, we grow to become more like Jesus!

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” — James 1:22

✨ Truth to remember: God wants us to listen carefully to His Word and put it into practice! When we listen, obey, and follow Jesus, we show our love and trust in Him.

Truth Tuesday: Ruth & Boaz

This week during Lifewise, students learned about the beautiful story of Ruth and Boaz and how God calls us to show love, kindness, and faithfulness to others. Ruth showed incredible loyalty to Naomi, choosing to stay by her side and care for her.

Boaz also showed kindness and compassion by providing for Ruth and Naomi and protecting Ruth. Through their story, we see how God works through ordinary people to accomplish His wonderful plans!

Ruth and Boaz’s story reminds us that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. When we choose to love others, remain faithful, and care for those around us, we reflect God’s love. Their story also points us to Jesus, our perfect Redeemer, who loves us, cares for us, and has made a way for us to be part of God’s family!

“Where you go I will go.” — Ruth 1:16

✨ Truth to remember: God calls us to show love and kindness to others, and He can use our faithfulness to make a difference in the lives of those around us!

Truth Tuesday: Samson

This week at LifeWise, students learned about God’s purpose for our lives through the story of Samson. God chose Samson for a special purpose—to help rescue the Israelites from the Philistines. God gave Samson incredible strength, but Samson also made choices that led him away from following God’s plan.

Samson’s story reminds us that God created each of us with a purpose. We may not always make the right choices, and we may have weaknesses, but God can still work through us. When we trust in Jesus and follow Him, He helps us live out the purpose God has for our lives!

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” — Ephesians 2:10

✨ Truth to remember: God created us with a purpose, and He can use us to do good things for Him!
