(501c3 Non-Profit, Adoption, Orphan Care & Psycho-Social Education Development)
A father figure was missing throughout my young life. My biological father was abusive and an alcoholic, so my mother left him when I was very young. I was lucky to have an awesome stepdad enter my life when I was two, but that marriage also ended. Even though my “dad” was and still is “dad”, being a child of divorce l
eft an underlying ingrained belief (a lie) of “they are all going to leave” into my psyche. Every girl needs a daddy. Every child needs a parent. Why was I easy to leave? While some of these thoughts followed me into adulthood, I have since done a lot of healing work and introspection to overcome these negative, incorrect thought patterns. It is because of my early childhood scars that I have a very special place in my heart for orphans, at risk children, and anyone else dealing with abandonment issues. Everybody deserves to be loved and to know that they belong in this world. Blood does not equate to family, heart makes family. Love makes a family. Out of this, The Echo Foundation,Inc., a 501c3 non-profit, was born. Our mission is to advocate for and serve orphans and at-risk children. We accomplish this through our adoption, orphan care and outreach projects. We are always looking for donations to support our cause. $25 a month feeds, clothes, and provides basic medical coverage for one child. Can we count on you to support one child? For only $1.20 today (less than half the price of a Starbuck’s Cafe Mocha), you can literally save a child’s life. Click here to donate now.
