RU LERA Founded in 2014, RU LERA is the Labor and Employment Relations Association's (LERA) only student-run

The Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) is the singular organization in the country where professionals interested in all aspects of labor and employment relations network to share ideas and learn about new developments, issues, and practices in the field. This is an excellent organization with which to be affiliated, particularly for networking and other professional development opp

ortunities (to say nothing of the fact that having such a professional affiliation looks good on your résumé). While LERA is a professional organization, the Rutgers chapter that is now launching is the only student-based chapter in the country, which is an important distinction of its own.

Our Story

The Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) is the singular organization in the country where professionals interested in all aspects of labor and employment relations network to share ideas and learn about new developments, issues, and practices in the field. This is an excellent organization with which to be affiliated, particularly for networking and other professional development opportunities (to say nothing of the fact that having such a professional affiliation looks good on your résumé).

While LERA is a professional organization, the Rutgers chapter is the only student-based chapter in the country, which is an important distinction of its own. RU LERA was established in the Fall of 2014 and has since distinguished itself through dozens of events and workshops, some of which have attracted an attendance of over one-hundred guests. Since its inception, the organization has thrived for continuous excellence. As a result, we have been recognized by LERA with Chapter Merit Awards in 2015 and 2017, which culminated in the highest possible distinction of Chapter Star Award in 2018.
