Khigh Rondel Stephens Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc. The Khigh Rondel Stephens Memorial Scholarship was established to commemorate his loving and generous spirit as well as the academic legacy. in January 2000.

Following the senseless death of Khigh Rondel Stephens on January 4, 1998, as a passenger in a fatal automobile accident, the Stephens Family along with the Law Firm of Thomas E. Hood established The Khigh Rondel Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc. The fund was created to commemorate the memory of Khigh Rondel Stephens. Khigh was an active member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church and an honors graduate o

f the New Brunswick High School class of 1997. At the time of his death he was an eminent student at Clark Atlanta University. To keep his legacy alive the fund awards a scholarship to students of exemplary character who can show financial need and/or academic ability. In addition, activities in the church and community service are also considered for funding. Since 2002 the foundation has given out scholarships to 31 deserving college bound students totaling over $26,000.00.
