The Rutgers Alcohol & Other Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) and Recovery House have been recognized on All Sober's "10 Top Colleges for Recovery—And Sober Adventure" list.
Offering support and treatment services to students in recovery, ADAP combats addiction at all stages. Recovery House, an on-campus sober-living residence, was recently remodeled and expanded to house 40 students.

The expanded Rutgers Scarlet Service Internship (RSSI) initiative and inaugural Washington, D.C. (RSS-DC) program provide selected Rutgers University sophomores and juniors with paid internships at government offices and public service-oriented nonprofit organizations.
Students gain hands-on experience addressing national issues including public health, infrastructure, education and the environment while developing a better understanding of themselves and building relationships with others.
