A meaningful evening celebrating the future of health care.
 
NJCC President & CEO Bernel Hall and NJCC Board Member Dana Redd attended the 16th Annual Cooper Red Hot Gala, joining more than 1,000 guests on the Camden waterfront. The event raised nearly $4 million in support of Cooper University Health Care and the future of health care in South Jersey. It was an inspiring opportunity to support Cooper’s mission and celebrate the progress being made to advance health care and strengthen the communities we serve.

NJCC, alongside FARR Education, closed a $1.5 million facilities-based working capital term loan to John P. Holland Charter School to support facilities-related costs for the 2026/2027 school year.
 
JPHCS is an independent K–8 public charter school authorized by the New Jersey Department of Education, operating out of an 80,000-square-foot leased facility in Woodland Park, NJ. Since 2009, the school has served a predominantly low- and moderate-income student population drawn primarily from the City of Paterson. Its leadership and staff prepare students for academic success through rigorous instruction, community-based values, and a commitment to educational equity and inclusion.
 
This financing gives JPHCS the flexibility to keep its focus on the classroom rather than the cost of the facility it occupies. NJCC is proud to invest in the institutions that shape the next generation.

Sustaining this rating reflects the standards we hold across the organization, and it matters most for what it supports: sound stewardship of the resources entrusted to us and responsible deployment of capital in the communities we serve.

In FY25, we deployed $45.4 million through 138 loans and investments, leveraged $95 million in total capital, and served 10,706 people.

This report looks at the work behind those numbers — and the outcomes that make them matter. Impact isn’t measured by capital deployed alone. It’s measured by what that capital makes possible.

At NJCC, investing in communities also means creating opportunities for the next generation to learn, imagine and explore.

On Friday, August 14, we welcomed some very special guests to the office for our annual Bring Your Child to Work Day!

Throughout the day, children participated in a mix of educational and creative activities, including a learning workshop, hands-on city building, face painting, and shell and rock painting led by Jacqueline Baranowski’s (Sr. Director, Investment Operations) daughter, Taylor. More than a day of fun, it was an opportunity for our young guests to experience their parents’ workplace and get a glimpse into the work we do every day.

Thank you to all the parents and volunteers who helped make the day engaging, memorable and fun for everyone involved.

NJCC has officially surpassed $1 million in Down Payment Assistance funds deployed during FY2026.

So far this fiscal year, the program has supported 65 home purchases, helping 185 individuals achieve homeownership. Since 2017, NJCC has deployed more than $12 million in DPA funding, supporting nearly 700 households on their path to owning a home.

Congratulations to our Address Yourself team for reaching this important milestone and continuing to make homeownership more accessible across New Jersey.
