NeighborWorks Week is a time to highlight how the network strengthens communities.

This year, NeighborWorks Weeks span two weeks, from May 23, 2026, to June 7, 2026, celebrating the impact of the network, and mobilizing volunteers, business partners, and civic leaders who share in NeighborWorks mission to help people live in affordable homes, build financial stability, and strengthen communities.

NeighborWorks has supported NJCC with more than $2 million in financial support over the last four years. This year, we will celebrate NeighborWorks in collaboration with the Passaic Chapter of Habitat for Humanity for a hands-on Community Development Day in Paterson, NJ. Stay tuned for photos of our Northside Neighborhood Clean-Up Day on Thursday, May 28.

For many first-time homebuyers, one of the biggest surprises is the number of expenses that come with the process beyond the purchase itself.

With timely support from NJCC staff and housing counseling guidance provided through Address Yourself, Claudia was able to confidently navigate the financial realities of homeownership and successfully purchase her home.

“We are forever grateful to this program for giving us the opportunity.” - Claudia, Homeowner

Stories like Claudia’s reflect the importance of pairing capital with education, counseling, and hands-on support to help create sustainable pathways to homeownership. New Jersey Community Capital remains committed to expanding access to stable housing and long-term opportunity for families and communities.
